The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has transitioned to a fully online workshop model for the Autumn 2025 semester. This applies to all students enrolled in B.Ed (1.5, 2.5, 4 Years), BS Programs, and Post-Graduate degrees. Attendance in these workshops is mandatory for passing the course.

Critical Rule: You must attend at least 80% of the online sessions. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a "Fail" grade in the workshop component, and you will have to re-register for the workshop in the next semester by paying the full fee again.

1. How to Check Your Workshop Schedule

Students often miss their first class because they do not receive the SMS from AIOU in time. Do not rely on SMS. Follow these steps to verify your dates manually:

Click the "Check Schedule Now" button at the top of this page.

Enter your Student ID (e.g., 0000123456) in the search box.

The system will display a table with your Course Codes, Dates, and Timings.

Note Down: Be careful about "AM" and "PM". Missing a morning slot because you thought it was evening is a common mistake.

2. How to Login to Microsoft Teams (LMS)

All workshops are conducted via Microsoft Teams integrated into the Aaghi LMS. You cannot join via Zoom or Google Meet. Here is the technical setup guide:

Your Login Credentials

  • Username: YourRegistrationID@aiou.edu.pk (e.g., 20PWR12345@aiou.edu.pk)
  • Password: Your original password sent via SMS during admission. (If you lost it, contact your Regional Help Desk immediately).

Step-by-Step Joining Process:

  1. Download the Microsoft Teams App on your laptop or mobile.
  2. Login to the Aaghi LMS Portal.
  3. Go to "My Courses" and select your active course code (e.g., 8601).
  4. Look for the link labeled "Workshop 01" under the current date.
  5. Click "Join Session." This will automatically open the Microsoft Teams app.
  6. Keep your microphone Muted unless the tutor asks you to speak.

3. Troubleshooting Common Issues

Facing technical errors? Here are the quick fixes for the most common problems students face during Autumn 2025 workshops:

"Invalid Login" Error

If the portal says "Invalid Credentials," first try resetting your password. If that fails, do not wait. Email your Regional Director with your Student ID and CNIC copy. You can find the email addresses on the main AIOU website under "Regional Campuses."

"You Are Not Added to the Team"

Sometimes, the LMS link works, but Teams says "You do not have access." This is a backend sync issue.
Solution: Take a screenshot of the error immediately as proof. Send it to the AIOU Helpdesk ticket system. This screenshot can save you if you are marked absent later.

Internet Disconnection

If your internet drops during the class, rejoin immediately. The system tracks your Total Duration. If you are logged in for only 10 minutes of a 2-hour class, you will be marked absent. Ensure you have a backup data package ready.
