The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) announces results in phases. Matric and FA results are usually declared first, followed by BA and B.Ed/BS programs. You can check your marks, grade, and GPA status using the official portals linked above.
New CMS Update: Students enrolled after 2021 must use the CMS Portal (Oracle). Old students (before 2021) can still access their records via the "Previous History" link.
1. How to Check Result on CMS
The process can be tricky for new students. Follow this path:
- Login to CMS with your ID and Password.
- Click on "Exam & Grades".
- Select "My Grades" from the left menu.
- Click the "View Grade" button next to your semester.
2. Understanding Your Grade (GPA Formula)
AIOU follows a relative grading policy for BS and B.Ed programs. Here is the standard grading key:
| Percentage Marks | Grade | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| 80% and above | A+ | Distinction |
| 70% - 79% | A | Excellent |
| 60% - 69% | B | Good |
| 50% - 59% | C | Pass |
| Below 50% | F | Fail |
3. Result Not Showing / RL Cases
If your result shows "RL" (Result Late), it means there is an administrative issue (fee pending, assignment marks missing, or UMC). You must contact the examination department immediately.
